Happy New Year! Before we look ahead to 2014 lets evaluate the November and December 2013 market activity. The median home price in Scottsdale Arizona dropped slightly in November but increased in December landing at $375,025. This is up 4.9% since December 2012. New listings, new contracts and closed sales are down a bit from previous months which is typical of the busy holiday season. This is how December shaped up: 592 new listings, 426 new contracts and 502 closed sales. The hot seller’s market is starting to cool off and balance out the market. Would be a great time for buyers on the fence to make a move! We anticipate and active first quarter 2014!
