Summer has arrived! We’ve reached the triple digits here in Scottsdale but the real estate market has cooled down. New listings are up slightly from April with a total of 1,002 new listings in May. However, new contracts and closed sales are both down from April, 1.9% and 4.2%, respectively. As we predicted the hot sellers’ market is slowly shifting. The median home price has dropped from $415,000 to $388,750 as a result of recent activity. With more inventory and dropping home prices buyers on the fence should start making a move! During these up and down activity months it is more important than ever to consult a real estate professional that knows the Scottsdale market.
